The early detection of any potential developing situation of another vessel impeding the safe passage of a deep draft laden VLCC, Suezmax or Capesize bulkcarrier can be crucial to avoid a close-quarter situation or risk of collision in the Straits of Malacca & Singapore.

Vessels constrained by her draft with up to 21.50 metres, continues to be impeded by others vessels transiting the straits.

This factor is even more critical paying due regards of the high density of traffic along the complicated Straits of Malacca & Singapore.
